HAIR TEXTURE GUIDE

2A hair pattern is typically a combination of straight and wavy hair, with the hair appearing to have a slight "S" shape when viewed from the roots to the ends. The hair may have a tendency to frizz, especially in high humidity or when exposed to moisture. The wave or bend in the hair is usually most visible in the mid-lengths and ends, while the roots tend to be straighter.

2B hair type is characterized by a wavy pattern, with a more defined "S" shape than 2A hair. The waves in 2B hair are usually more prominent than 2A hair and are more defined. The hair is thicker than 2A hair, but still relatively fine and easily manageable.

2C hair type is characterized by a wavy pattern that is more pronounced and defined than 2A or 2B hair. The waves in 2C hair are usually tight and well-defined, and the hair is usually thicker and more coarse than 2A or 2B hair.

3A hair is characterized by loose, well-defined curls that are about the size of a pencil or straw. The curls have lots of volume and tend to be bouncy and springy.

3B hair is characterized by curls that are a bit tighter and more defined than 3A hair, and are usually about the size of a Sharpie marker

3C hair is characterized by tight curls that are about the size of a straw or a pencil eraser, and are usually very dense and voluminous

4A hair is characterized by tight, coily curls that are usually well defined and have a "Z" pattern. The curls are usually shiny and have a lot of volume.

4B hair is characterized by tight, coily curls that are usually more tightly packed together than 4A hair, and have a "Z" pattern. The curls are usually less defined and more prone to shrinkage than 4A hair, and may require more styling and maintenance to keep them defined.

4C hair is characterized by tightly coiled hair that is usually tightly packed together and has a "Z" pattern. The curls are usually less defined and more prone to shrinkage than 4A or 4B hair, and may require more styling and maintenance to keep them defined.
